The Foundry Dental Center of Bessemer, Ala., is a community clinic that provides dental care services to underserved populations. With eight full-time dental residents and more than a dozen dental professionals volunteering their time, the clinic maintains a very busy schedule and often sees up to 60 patients a day. Dr. Michael McCracken, DDS, a board-certified prosthodontist, oversees the clinic as its executive director. He spearheaded the clinic’s switch from film-based X-rays to digital radiography almost two years ago to help improve efficiency and quality of services.

Today, the clinic utilizes Schick intraoral digital sensors, and Dr. McCracken feels the technology is helping the clinic reach new heights in patient care.
